Nutrition: UNICEF's new EC-FIES indicators

i-APS, in partnership with Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, has been awarded a long-term contract by UNICEF. Our crucial mission is to enhance nutrition data collection, analytics and timely reporting in complex humanitarian contexts, initially in Sudan, the State of Palestine, and Syria.

This initiative will focus on:

  • Pioneer the use of UNICEF's new EC-FIES indicators and integrate additional key data points via digital platforms.
  • Strengthen local capabilities by empowering countries with the skills to collect, analyze, and report critical nutrition data sustainably.
  • Develop a robust regional database to harmonize and make sense of data from diverse sources.
  • Generate impactful insights for programming and advocacy, including peer-reviewed publications to prove concept and scalability.

The outcome of this work will provide a fast, reliable data source for both programming and advocacy, offering a scalable model for humanitarian contexts across the MENARO region and globally. We are proud to contribute to improving nutrition outcomes in these critical areas.

We are all proud to contribute to this vital work!
