Yemen Health Feasibility Study

In 2021, i-APS was contracted by ADRA International to design and implement a feasibility study in preparation for the implementation of the proposed “Stabilization of the Health System in Yemen” submitted to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The aim of this project was to improve the quality, availability and effectiveness of the Yemeni health care system by increasing personnel capacities and expanding infrastructure. The objective of the study was to assess status of the four target health facilities and the illness and perceived needs of family using these facilities.

As part of the study, i-APS team of Yemen and international health experts designed a mixed-methods appraoch, using the OECD/DAC criteria of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. The findings were used to inform ADRA programming in Yemen.
