Maria Melo Torres

Global Director of International Operations

María serves as the Global Director of International Operations and the Country Manager and Representative for i-APS in Colombia. With a BA in Political Science and an MA in Social Development from the University of Sussex, she oversees the Project Management Unit (PMU) and global operations—including security and human resources—across 11 registered country offices and three project locations. Maria has successfully managed over 33 projects and led a diverse team of more than 49 experts for major donors such as UNDP, UNICEF, and USAID/BHA.

As the architect of i-APS’s system administration and efficiency, Maria spearheaded the ISO certification process for the headquarters and all 11 country offices, ensuring the highest international standards for quality and cost-effectiveness. Beyond operations, she is a key innovator within the KAPtech team, serving as the architect and project manager for TPMready.com. This enterprise-level operating system is the only platform designed to meet the rigorous demands of government and humanitarian agencies, allowing for the precise management of Third-Party Monitoring contracts and field team deployments globally.
