i-APS 8(a) Certified

International Advisory, Products and Systems Ltd., a U.S. woman-owned and managed small business, announced today it has been certified as a participant in the 8(a) Business Development Program from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The 8(a) program is a nine-year program created to help small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals by providing training, mentoring and technical assistance in federal government contracting.

“As the president and owner of i-APS and enrolled member of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian Tribe, I’m deeply grateful for this Congressionally established program designed to support small businesses like i-APS,” said Amina Ferati, i-APS President. “Since 2012, i-APS has expanded and successfully operated in over 25 countries, with active registrations though i- APS and affiliates in 11 countries, providing critical monitoring and evaluation and learning services and technical work to humanitarian and development clients including USAID and UN entities. Through the 8(a) program, we look forward to strengthening our partnerships and building new ones with U.S. Government clients.”

As an 8(a) certified business, i-APS is now able to compete and receive set-aside and sole- source contracts, as well as business development assistance from the SBA and support from procurement and compliance experts to help i-APS continue to grow and thrive as a U.S. based small business. i-APS adds the 8(a) certification to its growing list of certifications, including as an Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) by SBA.
