i-APS is recruiting for a Team Leader for an existing third-party monitoring program/contract.  

The TPM activity provides real time evidence that humanitarian activities are relevant, effective, impactful and achieving value for money. TPM will also provide assurance to the UN client on appropriate adherence to social and environmental safeguards, gender issues, and financial/fiduciary diligence. 

Position Summary: The Team Leader will provide overall management of the TPM program, ensuring that it is executed to a high technical and operational standard. The Team Leader will be the primary point of contact to UN clients and their implementing partners.

Team Leader will manage a team of TPM managers, research, reporting and learning professionals to ensure successful project performance, including through oversight of project work planning and implementation. Team Leader will coordinate closely with i-APS regional and in country office and senior
leadership in the delivery of the project. The Team Leader will also be responsible for all contract deliverables including client reporting requirements and overall project compliance. This will be a full-time position based: Remote

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide operational direction, overall coordination and management of the technical aspects of the project.  
  • Serve as the prime point of contact with the UN client.
  • Hire and supervise technical team members.
  • Oversee the field management team, data analysis unit, project management unit, and technical unit.
  • Ensure the project meets stated objectives and reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Lead in coordinating the implementation of project activities with various implementing partners. The actual number ranges between 15 to 25 per month.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, particularly with respect to technical delivery of the activities.
  • Contribute to the development and regular review of the overall project approach, strategy, implementation schedule and to drafting consolidated leaning documents.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in international development or other relevant field. 
  • Five to seven years of related work experience in monitoring and evaluation field.  
  • Experience managing projects in emergency or conflict-affected environments. 
  • Experience managing remote teams. 
  • Demonstrated strong experience managing and developing staff capacity.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in Arabic or Turkish is a plus.
